Spring Ducks Hatch!

Over Spring Break and on Saint Patrick's Day our ducks we have been incubating hatched!! Out of 10 eggs 9 hatched which is an amazing hatching rate! Typical hatch rates are usually only around 50% with home incubators. We candled the eggs and watched the process as it was happening. We learned a lot of things and now we get to enjoy these cute little fellas. We are currently deciding on names for the 7 remaining; two passed away after hatching :(. We will soon be moving on to trying to hatch local farm chicken eggs. Below is also a short vidoe clip of one of our little guys hatching.
