Happy Friendsgiving

Three main chefs of the feast

November 21, Tastebuds (and friends) hosted a small Thanksgiving lunch. We fried a

whole turkey (which turned out delicious), made stuffing, mashed potatoes with garlic and cayenne, herb biscuits, chocolate shortbread leaf cookies, brussels sprouts, and chocolate pie.

I loved everything but my favorite thing was the brussels sprouts. I had never tried them before. They were salty, not crunchy and very filling. They would melt in my mouth and I was not able to stop eating them. Frying the turkey was fun and I would recommend you try it but if you do, I would advise you to use caution because the deep fryer can cause a fire. We decided to fry a turkey because we thought it would be interesting and fun. I thought it tasted very good, although I couldn't taste a big difference, but I'm not a big fan of turkey.

One week prior to Friendsgiving, Mrs. Westyn's class went looking at prices for the feast. On the 17th, we went shopping and got all our groceries. At first it was calm but towards the end, a lot of people came into the store and we got really stressed. It was fun and nerve wrecking but it was successful. Everyone helped out with preparing and cooking and in the end, we had a nice and relaxing feast.
